We crossed into Alabama from Mississippi today around mile 63. We did about 5,800 feet of very steep climbing, over a 110 mile route. The weather was good, no rain with a high of about 70 degrees. Got into Tuscaloosa around 3:30 pm. I was surprised by a nice sign behind the hotel counter from Randall-Reilly my employer, and a visit from our President, Mike Reilly.
I also had an opportunity to eat dinner with my daughter Keri, my son-inlaw Jason, and grandchildren Hannah, Megan and Jackson. It was good to see some familiar faces. Hard day cycling, but it was nice to get to the hotel and enjoy some company.
